This story chronicles the young orphan’s pre-teen years as she searches for a place to call home. Although this quest, at times, is not easy, Anne continues with incredible persistence to find a place to belong. Her many escapades captivate you. Her joyful spirit encourages you. Little Women – Louisa May Alcott

Little Women is one of my favorite classics. It is a perfect balance between awesome literature and interesting tales of friendship, adventure and more. Meg has shown me how a proper lady should act (even in the 21st century). Jo has shown me spirit at its finest. Amy has shown me how to keep striving for your dreams, no matter how high. Last, but certainly not least, Beth and I have become quite good friends. Now it is your turn to go enjoy this timeless classic!

The Rescuers – Margery Sharp

The Rescuers is such fun to read! Miss Bianca, Nils, and Bernard make for a very memorable cast of characters! From the very start, you are thrown into a whirlwind of unbelievable events. How do you attempt to rescue a prisoner from a formidable jail when you’re barely four inches tall? The answer is….. a lot of pluck, some smarts, and a tad bit of charm. Oh, did I forget to mention the main characters are…… mice?

Age Range: This is very flexible, but probably 8 and up.
